Qumulo, the radically simple way to manage exabyte-scale data anywhere, today announced that one of its original founders, Aaron Passey, has returned to the company. In his new role, Passey will be an integral part of the engineering leadership team and work closely with Chief Technology Officer Kiran Bhageshpur.
“Few can lay claim, as Aaron can, to having worked on four distinct distributed data storage products, and it’s wonderful to have him rejoin our team,” said Bhageshpur. “He has always impressed me as a fearless and imaginative technical leader, and his expertise and vision will be a huge help as we work to accelerate our product innovations.”
As an industry visionary, Passey cofounded Qumulo with Peter Godman and Neal Fachan in 2012 with a shared vision of making data management easier for customers. He was integral in shaping the direction of the company, product and technology. Qumulo is now ushering in the next era of unstructured data, which continues to grow. After delivering record-breaking performance in its fiscal year 2022, Qumulo is strategically expanding its leadership team with roles focused on driving Qumulo’s growth through customers, partners and technical innovation.
“It feels like a true homecoming to return to Qumulo, and I’m excited to be part of the team that I founded more than a decade ago,” said Passey. “With a great leadership team, happy customers, and code that is rock solid, how could I not rejoin? I’m excited to help take things to the next level.”
