Working from home could become a permanent situation for employees of one county.
A big part of Marathon County’s 2022 plans is to downsize the number of buildings it operates, and that means expanding their hybrid work style that allows people to work from home.
While they adopted this method during the pandemic, county officials say making it a long term option will benefit both the community and their employees.
“I think that delivers higher quality service for the people of Marathon County at a lower cost.” Lance Leonhard, Marathon County Administrator, said, “It also allows us to maintain our most important asset, our people. ”
He says this helps them recruit and keep quality employees, and will allow them to work in an environment that suits them best, whether at home or in an office.
